Who we are:

Experienced real estate professionals Robert A. Abt and Thomas C. Shooltz formed Ironwood Realty Partners LLC in 2005.

Ironwood Realty Partners LLC acquires, develops and manages an expanding portfolio of commercial properties in the Washington DC metropolitan area.

Robert A. Abt

Bob was formerly a Senior Vice President of WEST*GROUP MANAGEMENT LLC, a highly regarded company well known for its large Tysons Corner, Virginia commercial real estate portfolio.  Bob was the chief development and construction officer of the Company, building a total of over 10 million square feet of commercial space over a 25 year period.  He was directly responsible for the development and construction of the prestigious Freddie Mac headquarters complex in Tysons Corner, totaling in excess of 1.3 million square feet, among many other projects.  Bob has a tremendous capacity to manage complex development projects and value engineer these projects to reduce costs and improve quality.  He also provided oversight to the large commercial property management department within the company.  Bob received an engineering Bachelor of Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and an MBA from Harvard University. 

Thomas C. Shooltz

Tom's initial entry into the commercial real estate field was with Barnes, Morris and Pardoe Realty Associates in the late 1970's.  Tom later joined Cassidy, Jaeger & Pinkard in 1981.  Tom was the leading land assembly broker for the North Arlington, Virginia market.  In 1989, Tom resigned from the brokerage business and formed TCS Realty Associates to focus on investment opportunities in the Washington DC metropolitan region.  He currently has developed or has in various stages of development, over one million square feet of mixed-use projects including retail, self storage, office and residential uses.  Additionally, Tom owns two storage facilities in Arlington, totaling 1,400 units.  Both of these projects won numerous awards.  Tom has a Bachelor of Science from Cleveland State University and an MBA from Boston University.
